Job summary

Pleco Inc. seeks an experienced Traffic Management Designer (TMD) to support an Australian-based client in preparing, planning and coordinating Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMP).

The role will develop traffic management designs and assist with scoping, permitting and compliance to ensure delivery of services, working as an integrated part of the client’s team. You will work to deliver designs within tight turnarounds, ensuring compliance with Australian standards

Qualifications

• Must have experience in QGTTM.
• Experience in Traffic Management Design (TGS and TMP), MUTCD, AGTTM.
• Familiarity with Australian traffic management standards.
• Experience supporting traffic planning or traffic engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail and planning capability.
• Experience working with Australian traffic management companies.
• Experience assisting in resource planning and project scoping.
• Experience with permit preparation and submissions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare TGS layouts based on contractor and project requirements.
• Deliver designs within a 24-48 hour turnaround, depending on scope and volume.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Australian traffic management standards and regulations.
• Revise and update TGS based on feedback or site changes.
• Develop comprehensive TMP documentation aligned with project specifications.
• Ensure plans comply with local council and regulatory authority requirements.
• Support planning for both day and night works.
• Assist in determining number of required TGS, Traffic Controllers (TC), and resource allocation requirements.
• Assist in permit submission preparation and documentation.
• Review contractor plans, permits, and submission forms.
