Job summary

Phitopolis International Corp. is a FinTech-focused R&D firm seeking a Trade Support Engineer in Metro Manila. You will monitor production trading platforms, investigate issues, automate tasks, and collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Data, and Research teams to enhance reliability and efficiency.

The role combines Linux systems administration, automation, observability, and incident management, with opportunities to grow within trading technology and financial markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering.
• Hands-on Linux/Unix administration experience.
• Experience with production incidents and high-availability environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, and SQL for automation.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and secure connectivity.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stability, availability, and performance of production trading apps and infra.
• Monitor trading systems, connectivity, and messaging with observability tools.
• Troubleshoot incidents affecting trade execution and system performance.
• Lead incident responses, RCAs, and post-incident reviews to boost resilience.
• Automate tasks, health checks, deployments, and support processes.
