Job summary

Chinabank PH is seeking a Junior Trader responsible for executing FX spot trades and supporting liquidity management. The role involves analyzing market data to guide strategies, providing quotations, and ensuring accurate MTM and PnL reporting.

The position requires a college degree (Business/Management/Engineering), strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial data to traders within and outside the bank.

Job description

The Junior Trader shall be responsible for the execution of FX spot trades, including proprietary and hedging transactions, subject to risk limits in order to generate income.

The role supports FX trading and liquidity management by implementing trading strategies within assigned risk limits, taking proprietary positions, and hedging client transactions. It involves analyzing economic and market data to guide trading decisions, recommending strategies to traders, and executing FX spot transactions to manage liquidity needs.

The position is also responsible for providing FX quotations to support market activities, monitoring and reconciling daily profit and loss (PNL) and FX positions, and ensuring accurate reporting including mark-to-market (MTM) updates. Additionally, it involves maintaining relationships with market traders, participating in industry events, and supporting overall treasury operations as needed.

Educational Background: College graduate, preferably Business, Management or Engineering Course

Knowledge and Skills Required: Able to set-up and maintain complex calculation spread sheets, tables and graphs in Excel

Interaction Requirements: Able to communicate financial and technical data to other traders within and outside the Bank (other financial institution counterparts)
