Job summary

Our Clients in the Philippines is seeking Foreign Exchange (FX) Traders to join our team. The role will execute FX transactions, monitor market movements, and support client portfolio growth.

You will work with the Forex Department and Back Office to ensure accurate settlement and compliance with BSP regulations, while pursuing ongoing professional development to stay ahead in FX markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any 4-year course.
• At least 1 year of banking experience with FX/trading exposure.
• CTP certification preferred.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, market-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute foreign exchange transactions in accordance with established trading guidelines and procedures.
• Manage and grow client portfolios through collaboration with the Forex Department and/or self-generated leads.
• Monitor foreign exchange rates, market levels, trends, and relevant economic developments.
• Provide timely market updates, insights, and trading recommendations to the Head Trader.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and identify opportunities to grow FX business.
• Coordinate closely with the Forex Back Office to ensure smooth and accurate processing and settlement of transactions.
• Monitor market conditions and developments that may impact foreign currency trading.
• Stay updated on BSP regulations, industry requirements, and relevant foreign exchange policies.
• Participate in seminars, training programs, and other professional development activities to continuously enhance FX trading knowledge and skills.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, trading procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Forex Department Head.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree graduate of any 4-year course.


• At least 1 year of experience in the banking industry, preferably with exposure to treasury, foreign exchange, dealing, trading, or related financial markets functions.


• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification is required/preferred.


• Working knowledge of foreign exchange markets, currency movements, and financial market fundamentals.


• Strong numerical and analytical skills.


• Good understanding of market trends and economic indicators.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to execute transactions accurately.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, market-driven environment.


• Strong sense of integrity, discipline, and risk awareness.
