Accolade IP OPC is seeking a Trademark Associate to join its growing IP team in Manila. The role focuses on U.S. trademark practice, filings, prosecution, and portfolio management across multiple jurisdictions, with emphasis on USPTO and IPOPHL work.
You will interact with local and international clients, prepare educational and marketing content, and support marketing/social media initiatives related to trademarks and IP.
The Trademark Associate will join a growing intellectual property team to support global trademark operations, with a particular focus on U.S. trademark practice. The role involves assisting with trademark filings, prosecution, portfolio management, client coordination, and related administrative work across different jurisdictions. A significant part of the position will involve supporting trademark matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), while also assisting with Philippine trademark matters and other international trademark portfolios handled by the company. The position will involve direct communication with local and international clients and requires high proficiency and confidence in written and spoken English, professionalism, organization, and comfort handling client-facing responsibilities. The successful candidate will also assist with the firm's marketing and social media initiatives, including the development of educational and promotional content relating to trademarks, intellectual property, branding, and related topics.
Assist in the preparation and filing of trademark applications and related submissions, particularly before the USPTO and IPOPHL
Support trademark matters and portfolio management across various international jurisdictions
Monitor trademark applications, deadlines, office actions, renewals, and other case developments
Prepare client correspondence, reports, filing updates, and other trademark-related documents
Coordinate with attorneys, clients, foreign associates, and other members of the team
Assist with trademark searches and preliminary research
Maintain and update trademark records, databases, and case files
Assist with the firm's Philippine trademark operations and the development of its U.S. operations
Prepare educational and marketing content relating to trademarks and intellectual property
Assist in managing and developing content for the firm's social media platforms
Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Business, Marketing, Communication, English, or a related field
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable communicating directly with local and international clients
Able to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning online filing, trademark database, and case management systems
Strong interest in intellectual property, trademarks, branding, and international business
Previous experience in trademarks or intellectual property (advantageous but not required)
Familiarity with USPTO and/or IPOPHL trademark procedures (advantageous but not required)
Background or exposure to marketing, social media management, content creation, or branding (advantageous but not required)
