Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Customs & Trade Compliance Executive to manage declarations and regulatory documentation. The role requires hands-on TradeNet/PortNet practice and strong knowledge of CO/FTA processes.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in Singapore Customs/Trade Compliance, plus proficiency in HS code classification and risk-based problem solving. This position offers growth within the regulatory function and exposure to multi‑jurisdictional trade

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant Singapore Customs / Trade Compliance experience.
• Hands-on experience with TradeNet and PortNet systems.
• Knowledge of Singapore Customs regulations, import/export procedures and customs documentation.
• Experience handling Certificates of Origin and FTA applications (Form D, Form E, RCEP, Form AJ and CO).
• Familiar with Controlled Goods and Strategic Goods regulations and permit applications (CA Permit, Strategic Goods Permit).
• Strong understanding of HS Code classification, Rules of Origin and International trade compliance.
• Ability to independently manage customs declarations and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit import, export and transshipment declarations via TradeNet.
• Handle applications for Certificates of Origin and FTA certificates.
• Apply for Controlled Goods and Strategic Goods permits and other regulatory licences.
• Review product information, HS Codes, origin, destination, and FTAs for correct declarations.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Customs regulations and internal policies.
• Liaise with authorities, chambers, customers, and stakeholders on trade issues.
• Monitor regulatory changes and trade policy developments relating to FTAs.
• Provide advice to support business operations in customs and trade matters.
• Investigate and resolve declaration discrepancies and documentation issues.
• Support other departmental tasks and ad hoc assignments.
