Job summary

Teradyne in the Philippines is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to repair PCBA boards, run full test procedures, interpret failure data, and assist with process and quality improvements. Candidates should be hands-on and detail-focused.

Applicants should have Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics training, experience with board repair, soldering skills, and familiarity with hardware/software validation for testers. Local applicants only; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Experience with test procedures and failure analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures and physical handling of assemblies.
• Run full PCBAs and system tests per defined procedures.
• Interpret failure datalogs and apply troubleshooting steps with engineers or supervisors as needed.
• Carry out defined testing and troubleshooting steps for PCBAs.
• Perform visual inspection to verify rework quality and absence of defects.
• Pack and ship boards as required and support process improvements.

Opportunity Overview

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and System set-up based on the defined procedure.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow defined troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; work with other Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.
• Run a number of defined specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units have been reassembled/reworked and free from physical defects.
• Perform packing and shipping of boards.
• Works with other Technicians and Engineers in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.
• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduates with relevant experience in board repair
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair
• Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage

• Computer literate
