Job summary

Teradyne, Inc. is hiring a Test Technician on a temporary basis in Cebu City, Philippines. The role focuses on running complete PCB test procedures, debugging test failures, and supporting board rework and shipping activities.

Applicants should have electronics technology or industrial electronics education, strong soldering skills, and experience with hardware/software validation for testers. Local candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Perform full test procedures on Teradyne PCBA and system setup per defined procedures
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and troubleshoot with engineers or supervisors
• Fix PCBA by following defined testing and troubleshooting steps
• Perform visual inspection to ensure rework is complete and defect-free
• Package and ship boards according to procedures
• Collaborate with Technicians and Engineers on process and quality improvements
• Comply with company rules, policies and procedures

Opportunity Overview

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and System set-up based on the defined procedure.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow defined troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; work with other Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.
• Run a number of defined specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units have been reassembled/reworked and free from physical defects.
• Perform packing and shipping of boards.
• Works with other Technicians and Engineers in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.
• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

All About You

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduates with relevant experience in board repair
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair
• Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage
• Goal and results-oriented, flexible, and hardworking
• Computer literate
