Job description

With hands‑on exposure to Test Management and Worldline - Ascend / SEMA card (Debit / Credit) or FIS Cortex or FIS IST, the individual will primarily drive test strategy, test execution governance, and transaction validation across the card’s ecosystem, while also contributing to business requirement interpretation and validation where required. The role requires close collaboration with business teams, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure robust functional validation and transaction integrity across the entire card lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Test Leadership & Quality Governance

• Define and drive the end‑to‑end test strategy for Cards platforms across SIT, integration testing, and UAT phases.
• Review test planning, test case design, execution oversight, and defect governance across the testing lifecycle.
• Ensure complete test coverage for card transaction lifecycle, including authorization, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Review test execution across multiple systems and integration points, ensuring coordination between upstream and downstream applications.
• Manage defect triage forums, ensuring timely resolution of critical defects impacting financial transactions.
• Provide leadership reporting on testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness.

End‑to‑End Cards Transaction Validation

• Validate real‑time card transaction flows across channels including POS, ATM, and e‑commerce.
• Ensure accurate processing of authorization approvals, declines, reversals, refunds, and chargeback scenarios.
• Validate message flows and transaction behaviour across switching platforms and payment networks.
• Ensure correct interaction between card management systems, switches, settlement engines, and core banking systems.

Platform & Integration Oversight

• Provide subject matter expertise on FIS IST and FIS Cortex card processing platform capabilities and testing considerations.
• Validate integration scenarios involving Worldline ATOS -Ascend /SEMA Card switching.
