About the role

The Tenement Officer is responsible for assisting in the management, monitoring, and processing of the company's mining tenements, permits, licenses, and other regulatory requirements. The position supports the Tenement Department in ensuring that applications, renewals, compliance documents, and related activities are properly prepared, submitted, monitored, and documented.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, processing, and monitoring of applications for Exploration Permits (EP), Mineral Production Sharing Agreements (MPSA), and other mining-related permits and tenement documents.
• Monitor the status, validity, and renewal requirements of the company's mining tenements and permits.
• Prepare and compile documentary requirements for submissions to the MGB, DENR, NCIP, EMB, LGUs, and other government agencies.
• Assist in the preparation of letters, reports, forms, affidavits, certifications, and other regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with government agencies and relevant offices regarding tenement applications, permits, compliance requirements, and other regulatory concerns.
• Maintain and update records of mining tenements, permits, applications, correspondence, approvals, and other related documents.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and supporting documents for meetings with government agencies and other stakeholders.
• Assist in field verification, site visits, inspections, and other activities related to tenement and regulatory matters when necessary.
• Prepare, update, and maintain tenement, location, and other project-related maps using GIS software.
• Conduct basic GIS-based spatial analysis and mapping to support tenement applications, exploration activities, regulatory submissions, and management requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Mining Engineering
• Knowledge and proficiency in GIS software for mapping, spatial analysis, and preparation of tenement and location maps.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and document management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• Able to coordinate effectively with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and internal departments.
• Willing to travel and conduct field/site visits.
• Preferably with experience in mining tenement management, permitting, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Philippine mining laws, rules, regulations, and government permitting processes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with MGB, DENR, NCIP, EMB, and LGU requirements is an advantage.
