About the role:

We are looking for a skilled Structural Steel Connector to support US-based structural steel detailing projects by creating accurate 3D models and developing structural steel connections using Tekla Structures. The role will interpret engineered design drawings, model steel structures and connections, and ensure all project deliverables meet established drafting and detailing standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Create accurate 3D models of structural steel structures using Tekla Structures.
• Interpret engineered design drawings and translate design requirements into accurate structural steel models.
• Model and develop structural steel connections based on engineered design drawings and project specifications.
• Utilize Tekla Structures macros and custom components to improve modeling and detailing efficiency.
• Review models and drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Identify and resolve modeling or connection-related errors prior to client submission.
• Work closely with the assigned project team to ensure project schedules and deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with team members across different functions and geographies to address technical and project-related requirements.
• Ensure all drawings and models conform to established drafting, detailing, and quality standards.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the detailing process.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills in structural steel detailing and connection design.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in structural steel modeling and connection detailing for US-based detailing projects.
• Proven experience working with AISC standards.
