Job summary

Meralco is looking for a Technology Project Manager to lead end-to-end grid modernization and digital technology projects from concept through implementation, turnover, and benefits realization. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, OT/IT, vendors, and operations to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and cybersecurity requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Licensed Electrical Engineer credential with postgraduate studies or PM/tech certifications, and has 5+ years

Qualifications

• Licensed electrical engineer with postgraduate studies and PM or tech certifications preferred.
• 5+ years in grid modernization, tech projects, or digital transformation in utilities/energy.
• Experience with ADMS/SCADA, AMI, GIS, DERMS and related smart-grid tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Manage full lifecycle from requirements to testing, deployment, and turnover.
• Lead grid modernization projects involving ADMS/SCADA, AMI, GIS, DERMS and AI/analytics.
• Coordinate OT/IT integration across systems, devices, data platforms and apps.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, changes; ensure timely mitigation.
• Oversee vendors and contracts, including procurement support and performance tracking.
• Coordinate stakeholders and deliver management reporting for decisions.
• Ensure readiness and benefits realization with measurable business value.

JOB SUMMARY

• The Technology Project Manager leads the end-to-end planning, execution, integration, and delivery of electric utility grid modernization and digital technology projects from concept through implementation, operational turnover, and benefits realization. The role manages cross-functional initiatives involving ADMS/SCADA, AMI, GIS, DERMS, grid automation, AI/analytics, IoT/edge devices, telecommunications, cybersecurity, cloud/on-premise platforms, and other smart-grid technologies.

• The role coordinates business, engineering, operations, OT/IT, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, technical, cybersecurity, and operational requirements while achieving measurable business and operational value.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead end-to-end project delivery, managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, and performance.

• Manage the full project lifecycle from requirements and design through testing, deployment, commissioning, and operational turnover.

• Lead electric utility grid modernization and digital technology projects involving ADMS/SCADA, AMI, GIS, DERMS, automation, AI/analytics, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and smart-grid solutions.

• Coordinate OT/IT integration across systems, field devices, telecommunications, data platforms, and enterprise applications.

• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and changes, ensuring timely mitigation and management decisions.

• Manage vendors and contracts, including procurement support, performance monitoring, acceptance, and issue resolution.

• Coordinate stakeholders and provide management reporting to support alignment and timely decision-making.

• Ensure operational readiness and benefits realization, measuring business value and driving continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Electrical Engineer, with relevant postgraduate studies, project management certification or technology certifications preferred.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience managing grid modernization, technology, systems integration, infrastructure, or digital transformation projects, preferably in the utility or energy sector.

• Working knowledge of ADMS/SCADA, AMI, GIS, DERMS, grid automation, OT/IT, AI/analytics, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and other smart-grid technologies.

• Strong capability in project planning, budgeting, risk/change management, vendor management, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness.

• Ability to manage complex system integrations, vendors, multidisciplinary teams, and project dependencies.

• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills, including executive-level project reporting.
