Job summary

Globe Telecom seeks a seasoned Solution Architect to design resilient, cloud-native systems for airtime, top-ups, and credit/loan services at scale.

You will lead end-to-end architecture using AWS and GCP, embrace DevOps, CI/CD, and data modeling with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, guiding cross-functional squads in a fast-paced telecom environment.

Qualifications

• Has at least 15 years of total experience with minimum 10 years in Solutions Architecture.
• Background in software engineering or system integration roles.
• Deep DevOps expertise with CI/CD, IaC, and environment automation.
• Familiar with airtime reloads, credit, and loan transaction flows in telco.
• Strong cloud experience in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficient in GoLang (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design reliable, secure, and scalable replenishment and loan systems using microservices.

The Reloads Tribe is seeking a Solution Architect to design resilient, high-performance systems that support airtime reloads, top-ups, and credit/loan solutions at scale.

You will play a key role in shaping the architecture of real‑time financial services that millions of subscribers depend on daily.

Weʼre looking for an architect who brings strong engineering discipline, DevOps maturity, and hands‑on experience in building scalable and automated systems using modern cloud technologies.

Your Day in the Life at your Role

• Design & Develop reliable, secure, and scalable solutions for replenishment and loan services within the prepaid ecosystem. Translate complex business needs into well‑architected systems using microservices and event‑driven patterns.


• Lead the design and implementation, and oversee end‑to‑end cloud‑native solutions using AWS and GCP.


• Collaborate with squads to implement DevOps practices—including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, and full automation.


• Perform architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and tribe‑level strategies.


• Guide and ensure optimal data modeling and storage using both NoSQL MongoDB and relational databases PostgreSQL.

Core Skills and Qualifications

• At least 15 years of total experience and with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Solutions Architecture.


• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with prior background in software engineering or system integration roles.


• Deep understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, IaC (Infrastructure as Code), and environment automation.


• Familiarity with airtime reloads, credit, and loan transaction flows or similar telco financial services.


• Strong hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).


• Proficient in GoLang, or comfortable working with teams using Go for backend services.


• Solid understanding of modern system design, database modeling, and integration architectures.

• Cloud Platforms: AWS and GCP


• Databases: Relational (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB)


• Programming: GoLang (preferred)


• DevOps & Automation: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), GitOps approaches
