Job summary

Globe is seeking a Solution Architect with a strong background in software development and full-stack engineering to drive scalable, customer-facing digital experiences. The role focuses on designing end-to-end systems that power high-performance platforms and aligning frontend, backend, and infrastructure for seamless delivery.

You will lead architecture reviews, promote quality-first development and testing, and drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, containers, and IaC across delivery teams.

The Customer Interaction Tribe is looking for a Solution Architect with a strong software development and full-stack engineering background.

This tribe focuses on customer-facing digital experiences across web and mobile platforms, enabling seamless and engaging user interactions at scale.

Weʼre looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise, hands‑on coding experience, and architectural design acumen to drive the delivery of scalable, efficient, and intuitive customer solutions.

Your Day in the Life at your Role

Design & Develop end-to-end systems for high-performance, scalable digital platforms that power customer interactions. Translate business requirements into modular, resilient, and secure architecture blueprints. Lead and bring a developer‑first mindset, guiding teams in adopting clean code, scalable design, and performance optimization techniques. Collaborate with squads to design cloud‑native, containerized applications with well‑structured APIs, frontends, and backend services. Ensure strong alignment between frontend, backend, infrastructure, and DevOps layers for seamless delivery. Evaluate and perform architecture reviews, code optimization sessions, and advocate for quality‑first development and testing practices. Innovate and drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, containerization best practices, and infrastructure‑as‑code across the delivery teams.

What You Bring to the Table

Core Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 1 5 years of total experience and with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Solutions Architecture.

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a strong background as a Senior Developer (capable of designing and developing). Also open to Senior Developers willing to transition to architecture.

• Strong full‑stack knowledge with real exposure to back‑end, front‑end, and infrastructure components.

• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.

• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, Go, or similar language.

• Solid understanding of system design, software architecture, and design patterns.

• Deep experience in API design, database schema design (SQL & NoSQL), and scalable systems.

• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and cloud‑native strategies.

• Working knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps tools like ArgoCD.

• Nice to have: familiarity with mobile app and/or front‑end web development.

Preferred Tech Stack & Tools

• Programming Languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, Go et al.
• Databases: Relational - PostgreSQL or MySQL; NoSQL - MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, DynamoDB, etc.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS or GCP
• Messaging / Streaming: AWS SQS, GCP PubSub, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Pulsar, etc.
• Containers & IaC: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD
• Front‑end: React, Vue, or Angular; TailwindCSS
• HTML/CSS for UI structuring and styling

NOTE: does not need to cover all, at least one per item is enough.

• Architect customer‑centric solutions for one of the Philippines’ most digitally forward brands.
• Collaborate with agile teams passionate about delivering friction‑less customer experiences.
• Build with modern technologies and contribute to the long‑term vision of scalable, cloud‑native architecture.
