Job summary

ams Asia Inc. in Laguna is seeking a Technician, Test Product Engineering to support the CSA division's test hardware like load boards and probe cards, ensuring quality and production readiness.

You will perform preventive maintenance, debugging, and collaborate with engineers to resolve hardware issues while monitoring inventory and driving continuous improvements in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience with test hardware support, debugging and preventive maintenance in semiconductor environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection, registration and tracking of test hardware to ensure quality.

Your new responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection, registration, and tracking of Load Boards, Probe Cards, and other test hardware to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM), cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to maintain hardware reliability and production readiness.
• Support production NOGO activities, hardware modifications, debugging, and hardware validation prior to production release
• Assist Engineers and cross-functional teams in resolving hardware-related issues to support production and operational goals
• Monitor and maintain inventory of critical spare parts, hardware components, and consumables to support production requirements
• Support hardware transfer activities, engineering projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to cost‑saving and productivity improvement initiatives through effective problem‑solving and adherence to operational processes.
• Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and 5S standards and requirements.

Who we are looking for

• Associate’s degree in engineering, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer, Electrical, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, specializing in test hardware support, hardware debugging, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience in multiple technical functions, including hardware debugging, preventive maintenance, production support, hardware validation, inventory control, and continuous improvement projects within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
