Job summary

ELECSYS ENERGY EQUIPMENT CORPORATION is hiring a Technician / Production Worker to ensure products meet design and quality standards. You will read electrical wiring diagrams, check parts, operate core cutting, and assemble core-coil components to manufacture transformers.

Responsibilities include welding and insulating steps, loading units into ovens, leak testing, and assisting in final tests. Residential location near Taytay area is preferred; new graduates welcome for permanent opportunities

Qualifications

• Graduate of Senior High School (STEM) or 2-year technical/vocational course.

• Prefer residency near Taytay, Cainta, Antipolo, Angono or Binangonan area.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical wiring and diagrams.
• Operate core cutting machine and manage core/coil assembly.
• Cut, weld and assemble aluminum and copper bus bars.
• Install accessories and sub-assemblies on transformers.
• Load/unload units into oven and monitor control instruments.
• Perform leak testing and in-process inspection.
• Assist in final testing of transformers.

Job description

The Technician / Production Worker ensures that products manufactured meet industry and international standards in accordance with the design and manufacturing specifications and instructions, ESH policies, and quality standards so that they will be available when and where required, within the prescribed time and cost.

In particular, he performs the following:

As a Production Worker:

1. Reads and interprets electrical wiring, assembly diagrams and other specifications
2. Check parts for accuracy of fit and if necessary chisels, files, scrapes and does other supplemental tooling
3. Operates core cutting machine – cuts, stacks/ re-stacks, cleans and disassembles core as well as coil compression and baking
4. Assembles and clean core-coil assembly
5. Cuts, drills and welds aluminum and copper bus bar and strips (flexible connectors)
6. Cuts, slits and fold insulation
7. Performs transformer internal assembly/ disassembly using either one or combination of oxy-acetylene, arc welding machine, MIG/TIG welding machine and hydraulic jacks
8. Cleans transformer tank and performs tanking/ un-tanking and oil filling/ un-filling of new or repair units
9. Install all prescribed accessories and sub-assemblies such as current transformers, ammeters, terminal box, relays, etc.
10. Load & unload units into/ from oven; performs, monitors and adjusts built-in control instruments and indicator dials
11. Operates oil purifier, vacuum pump, overhead crane and air compressor as required
12. Performs off-base related works as the need arises
13. Conducts leak testing on completed units
14. Performs in-process inspection and ensures installed parts and accessories conformed to design specifications
15. Performs coil winding operation including welding of conductors.
16. Performs in-process testing of sub-assemblies.
17. Assists in final testing of transformers.
18. Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Qualification

• Graduate of Senior High School (STEM strand) or at least 2-year technical vocational course (Preferably Electrical, Mechanical or Electrical/Mechanical Technology Course). Newly graduates are welcome.
• Preferably residing in Taytay, Cainta, Antipolo, Angono, Binangonan area
• Can be considered for hiring to permanent position after temporary employment depending on performance and work ethics.
