Job description

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, control panels, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
• Install electrical equipment, machinery, and power distribution systems in accordance with approved plans and electrical codes.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Perform electrical modifications and upgrades as required.
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Repair or replace defective electrical components, wiring, motors, breakers, transformers, relays, and control devices.
• Perform emergency electrical repairs to minimize operational downtime.
• Ensure all electrical systems remain in good working condition.
• Equipment and Facility Maintenance
• Inspect electrical systems of buildings, facilities, production equipment, and machinery.
• Maintain generators, lighting systems, electrical panels, and distribution boards.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety standards and electrical regulations.
• Safety and Compliance
• Follow electrical safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Ensure compliance with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards, and other applicable regulations.
• Identify and report electrical hazards and recommend corrective measures.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing electrical work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment history.
• Prepare maintenance reports and document completed work orders.
• Report recurring electrical issues and recommend long-term solutions.
• Inventory and Equipment Management
• Monitor electrical tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
• Recommend procurement of electrical materials and replacement parts when necessary.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of electrical tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and other departments regarding electrical concerns.
• Assist contractors during electrical installation or maintenance projects when required.
• Support facility improvement and equipment installation projects.
• Other Duties
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls.
• Participate in facility inspections and safety audits.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Education
• Graduate of Technical Vocational Course, Electrical Technology, Industrial Technology (Major in Electrical), or a related field.
• Vocational or TESDA certification in Electrical Installation and Maintenance is preferred.
• Experience
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience as an Electrician in industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or building maintenance.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment is an advantage.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance is preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications
• Registered Master Electrician (RME) is an advantage but not required.
• TESDA National Certificate (NC II) in Electrical Installation and Maintenance is preferred.
