Job summary

SGS in the Philippines is seeking a Technical Support Officer (Domestic/Textile) to support non-food compliance within the Advisory Team. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to legislation, codes of practice, and client requirements across textiles.

You will coordinate pack copy verification, engage with clients and suppliers, provide regulatory guidance, and contribute to continuous improvement. The position requires technical and regulatory expertise and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Technical background with an understanding of test methods and technical reports.
• Appreciation of consumer protection legislation.
• Postgraduate qualification in regulatory affairs or quality management.
• Professional certifications in compliance or quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct is followed.
• Regulatory compliance, specification and pack copy verification against EU/UK rules.
• Engage with clients, suppliers, design agencies, print houses and other stakeholders.
• Attend meetings with account managers, clients, suppliers and enforcement agencies.
• Provide regulatory advisory services and stay updated on legislation and guidelines.
• Develop a technical sign-off checklist to meet standards and reduce errors.
• Train and onboard junior advisors and technologists to boost team capability.
• Collaborate to maintain consistency and drive regulatory excellence.
