The Aluminum/UPVC Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of aluminum and UPVC window and door installation projects. This includes managing site activities, coordinating with production and design teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and maintaining quality and safety standards. The role requires hands‑on project management and technical supervision to deliver projects on time and within budget.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review project plans, shop drawings, and technical specifications for aluminum and UPVC windows and doors.
- Supervise and coordinate the installation activities on-site, ensuring proper alignment, fitting, and sealing.
- Coordinate with the design, fabrication, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and accurate installation based on approved drawings.
- Prepare project schedules, track progress, and report any delays or issues.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and client requirements.
- Interface with clients, contractors, consultants, and suppliers for technical coordination and problem resolution.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including work permits, method statements, and inspection reports.
- Handle variation orders, punch lists, and project closeout documentation.
- Monitor and manage manpower allocation, tools, and equipment needed for installation works.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- Licensed Civil Engineer is preferred but not required.
- At least 2–5 years of experience in project engineering for aluminum/UPVC windows and doors.
- Strong knowledge of installation techniques, aluminum/UPVC systems, hardware, and sealing methods.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willing to work at project sites across the Philippines.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Experience with Curtain Wall, Storefront, Cladding, and Glazing Systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with local aluminum/UPVC suppliers and systems (e.g., Alutech, Wintech, Conch).
- Knowledge of QA/QC processes and documentation.
- Ability to lead a team of installers, subcontractors, and helpers on-site.
