Job summary

Trinapower Philippine is seeking a specialist to lead technical solution design for the residential distributed solar PV market in the Philippines, focusing on rooftop systems and ensuring feasibility with local roof types.

You will conduct site surveys, develop standardized residential solutions, BOQs, and installation guidance, and perform energy yield simulations and financial assessments to support homeowners and channel partners.

• Lead technical solution design for the residential distributed solar PV market in the Philippines, focusing on rooftop systems.
• Conduct pre-project site surveys and house structure assessments of common residential roof types (corrugated metal, concrete, tile) for load-bearing, waterproofing and feasibility.
• Provide survey and feasibility assessment reports evaluating load-bearing, waterproofing, and installation feasibility.
• Design residential PV systems (modules, inverters, mounting systems, electrical distribution and grid connection); prepare BOQ and installation guidance documents.
• Perform energy yield simulations and financial assessments for residential systems using PVsyst to evaluate self-consumption, revenue and returns for homeowners and partners.
• Support the BD/sales team and local channel partners in homeowner technical communication and solution presentations; respond to inquiries.
• Stay familiar with Philippine residential PV policies and standards (Net Metering, PEC, DOE/ERC) to ensure compliance.
• Manage full residential project delivery, coordinating installation teams on quality control, grid connection and handover.
• Establish and improve a standardized residential solution library, installation manuals and support documentation; collect feedback to optimize solutions.

Job description

Lead technical solution design for the residential (household) distributed solar PV market in the Philippines, covering residential rooftop PV systems. This position is strictly limited to the residential distributed solar segment and does not involve commercial & industrial (C&I) or utility-scale ground-mounted projects.

Conduct pre-project site surveys and house structure assessments, evaluating common Philippine residential roof structures (corrugated metal, concrete flat roofs, tile roofs, etc.) in terms of load-bearing capacity, waterproofing conditions, and installation feasibility, and issue survey and feasibility assessment reports.

Be responsible for residential PV system design (modules, inverters, mounting systems, electrical distribution and grid connection, etc.), preparing standardized residential solutions, bills of quantities (BOQ), and installation guidance documents.

Perform energy yield simulation and financial assessment for residential systems using professional software such as PVsyst, evaluating self-consumption ratio, generation revenue, and investment returns to provide clear technical and economic solutions to homeowners and channel partners.

Support the BD/sales team and local channel partners in homeowner technical communication and solution presentations, respond to homeowner technical inquiries, and support explanation and conversion of residential product and package offerings.

Stay familiar with Philippine residential PV policies and technical standards (Net Metering, residential grid connection requirements, Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), DOE/ERC compliance requirements, etc.) to ensure solution compliance.

Manage the full residential project delivery process, coordinating construction and installation teams on installation quality control, grid connection commissioning, and project handover, and establish standardized residential delivery and acceptance procedures.

Establish and improve a standardized residential solution library, installation manuals, and technical support documentation, collect homeowner feedback to continuously optimize solutions, and improve the standardization level and delivery efficiency of residential solutions.
