Job summary

Solar Systems Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced Solar Design Engineer to lead design and engineering for residential to industrial PV projects in the Philippines. You will prepare detailed electrical designs, SLDs, layouts, and equipment specs, and conduct site assessments.

The role requires REE licensure, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and 1+ year in Solar PV design. AutoCAD and PVsyst skills are essential, with proven ability to collaborate with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Must have REE license and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
• 1+ year of Solar PV design/engineering experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and PV design software; PVsyst preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of Solar PV Systems for various projects (residential to industrial).
• Prepare detailed electrical and solar PV system designs including SLDs, layouts, equipment specs, and calculations.
• Conduct site assessments and evaluate existing electrical systems for solar installation.
• Perform system sizing, string configuration, inverter selection, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations.
• Prepare and review PVsyst simulations and energy yield analysis.
• Review drawings, plans, BOQs, and project specs; ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and project teams on technical requirements.
• Provide technical support during implementation and troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior solar design engineers.
• Verify designs comply with Philippine electrical, solar, and safety standards.
