Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have REE license and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
• 1+ year of Solar PV design/engineering experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and PV design software; PVsyst preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of Solar PV Systems for various projects (residential to industrial).
• Prepare detailed electrical and solar PV system designs including SLDs, layouts, equipment specs, and calculations.
• Conduct site assessments and evaluate existing electrical systems for solar installation.
• Perform system sizing, string configuration, inverter selection, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations.
• Prepare and review PVsyst simulations and energy yield analysis.
• Review drawings, plans, BOQs, and project specs; ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and project teams on technical requirements.
• Provide technical support during implementation and troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior solar design engineers.
• Verify designs comply with Philippine electrical, solar, and safety standards.

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Solar Design Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in solar PV system design, engineering, and project development, with a proven ability to handle projects from design through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of Solar PV Systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects


• Prepare detailed electrical and solar PV system designs, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), layouts, equipment specifications, and electrical calculations


• Conduct site assessments and evaluate existing electrical systems for solar installation


• Perform system sizing, string configuration, inverter selection, cable sizing, voltage drop, and other electrical calculations


• Prepare and review PVsyst simulations and energy yield analysis


• Review technical drawings, plans, BOQs, and project specifications


• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and project teams on technical requirements


• Provide technical support during project implementation and troubleshooting


• Ensure designs comply with applicable Philippine electrical, solar, and safety standards


• Review and mentor junior solar design engineers

About you

• Registered Electrical Engineer (REE)


• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering


• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Solar PV Design and Engineering


• Strong knowledge of Grid-Tie, Hybrid, and/or Off-Grid Solar PV Systems


• Proficient in AutoCAD and PV system design software


• Experience with PVsyst is highly preferred


• Knowledge of solar PV equipment, inverters, modules, protection devices, and electrical systems


• Strong understanding of electrical calculations, SLDs, and system design


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills


• Able to lead projects and work independently with minimal supervision
