Job summary

ESOL IT SERVICES INC. is seeking a Senior Software Lead to guide a team of developers through the full software lifecycle. You will ensure adherence to architecture, standards, and objectives while delivering scalable backend services and integrations using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.

The role requires hands-on development, API design, and cloud-native practices with AWS and OpenShift. Expertise in ReactJS and mobile app deployment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, software engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience in software development and technical leadership.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring/Spring Boot for backend development.
• Strong experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, and system integration concepts.
• Hands-on experience with REST, JSON, XML, and message queues.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and software delivery pipelines.
• Knowledge of AWS and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
• Strong understanding of Cloud-Native Infrastructure, DevSecOps, and Microservice Architecture.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly ReactJS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide technical direction to a team of software developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure development activities align with approved technical architecture, coding standards, business requirements, and project objectives.
• Design, develop, review, and maintain high-quality, efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Provide hands-on development support using Java and Spring/Spring Boot for backend applications.
• Design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Work with Relational DBs such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, including design, queries, optimization, and integration.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations using REST, JSON, XML, and message queues.
• Guide the team in implementing microservices, cloud-native solutions, and DevSecOps practices.
• Support deployments using AWS and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
• Provide technical guidance in web and mobile development, including ReactJS.
• Support mobile app deployment to Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor developers to improve practices.
• Establish unit and automated testing practices for quality.
