Job summary

Guardian Life seeks a Technical Lead with deep hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications. You will guide multiple teams, own solution design, review engineering deliverables, and collaborate with Product Owners and architects to translate business needs into robust technology solutions.

The role emphasizes architecture alignment, code quality, API/design, CI/CD adoption, production readiness, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering experience and hands-on delivery leadership.
• Experience leading a team of 7 engineers across development and test automation.
• Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot), React/Next.js, and API-driven development.
• Secure, scalable architecture with microservices and RESTful APIs; cloud and CI/CD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design end-to-end full-stack solutions across frontend and backend systems.
• Review engineers’ pull requests and mentor on coding standards, scalability, and best practices.
• Collaborate with UX/design to ensure responsive UI/UX patterns.
• Develop scalable, secure APIs and backend services; lead SSR/SEO efforts.
• Define and implement CI/CD pipelines; manage deployments across environments.
• Provide production support, ensure high test coverage, and enforce quality gates.
• Champion AI-assisted development practices and responsible use of AI tools.
