Job summary

IMV INTERNATIONAL MICRO VILLAGE INC. is seeking a Technical Engineer to join our ICT team in Makati City, Metro Manila on a full-time basis.

The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to support our organisational objectives. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience, at least 1 year in network engineering, knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN, and hands-on experience with Cisco devices and network

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of professional network engineering experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN and network architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco devices and network monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain robust network infrastructure to support business operations
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure optimal system uptime
• Configure and manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers
• Implement network security protocols and best practices to protect organisational assets
• Conduct regular network audits and performance assessments to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives and digital transformation projects
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and end-users
• Document network configurations, processes and procedures for knowledge management
• Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry standards

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in network engineering or a related technical role
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and network architecture
• Hands-on experience with network devices such as Cisco or equivalent brands
• Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools
• Solid understanding of network security principles and firewall management
• Experience with cloud networking solutions is highly desirable
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CCNP are advantageous
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication abilities and capacity to work effectively in team environments
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads effectively
