Job summary

Outsourced Quality Assured Services Pty seeks a mid-level Technical Drafter & Operations Assistant to join our residential fencing team. This remote, full-time role blends drafting proficiency with operational administration to streamline quoting, improve technical docs, and manage day-to-day workflows.

You will partner with management to enhance workflows, ensure design compliance, and support financial and marketing tasks while maintaining project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D).
• Experience with ServiceM8 or similar job management software is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently as a mid-level professional, proactively identifying missing data and coordinating with the team to resolve project bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Technical Drafting & Design: Translate site data into precise drawings using AutoCAD (2D/3D) and ensure compliance specs.
• Pricing & Estimating: Build quotes and coordinate with fabricators for pricing of components; maintain 24–48 hour turnaround.
• Operational Support: Manage project schedule, order materials, and perform quality checks.
• Financial Administration: Reconcile deposits to jobs and coordinate with the bookkeeper (SOPs and documentation).
• SOP Creation & Documentation: Develop and maintain SOPs and build instructions for fencing and tools; track sign-offs.

Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Technical Drafter & Operations Assistant to join our residential fencing company. This is a full-time, remote role requiring a blend of technical drafting profi ciency and operational administrative support. You will work closely with our management team to streamline our quoting process, improve technical documentation, and manage day-to-day office operations.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Drafting & Design:

• Translate site measurements and data into precise technical drawings using AutoCAD (2D/3D).
• Ensure all designs, particularly for pool fencing and feature walls, meet compliance standards and include detailed specifi cations (panel sizing, gap requirements, cross-member/upright placement, and screw locations).

Pricing & Estimating:

• Pricing Jobs: Utilize job management software to assemble accurate quotes based on predefi ned meter and install rates.
• Coordinate with external fabricators to obtain pricing for custom components.
• Manage the end-to-end quoting workfl ow to ensure a 24–48 hour turnaround time.

Operational Support:

• Order materials for approved jobs and manage the project schedule.
• Perform quality control checks on completed projects via online review.
• Handle fi nal invoicing to clients upon job completion.

Financial Administration:

• Reconcile and match customer deposits to specifi c jobs.
• Collaborate with our third-party bookkeeper to ensure fi nancial data accuracy. SOP Creation & Documentation*:
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including detailed build instructions for fencing and power tool usage.
• Manage and track staff sign-offs on all new SOPs and safety documentation.

Marketing Support*:

• Manage social media photo postings, ensuring all content aligns with company image guidelines.
• Maintain the shared photo repository for marketing use.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong profi ciency in AutoCAD (2D/3D).
• Experience with ServiceM8 or similar job management software is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently as a mid-level professional, proactively identifying missing data and coordinating with the team to resolve project bottlenecks.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday (7am - 4pm MNL time)

Must Have atleast 50mbps internet connection

Must be wiling to work (Office-based)
