Outsourced.ph is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter with Fusion 360 experience for our AU client in the steel fabrication sector. The role involves detailed drafting, BOM creation, and coordination with Sales and Engineering.

This is a homebased position from the Philippines with the company providing equipment and a reliable internet connection. The candidate will work from Manila time and support project teams across design, manufacturing and documentation, ensuring up-to-date drawings and efficient

Qualifications

• Experience in AutoCAD drafting and Fusion 360.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication/manufacturing processes.
• Ability to develop detailed drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Engineering, Design and Drafting for customer approval and manufacturing.
• Manage project data storage and ensure latest information is used.
• Develop accurate bills of material and factory labour hour estimates.
• Provide drafting support to Sales and Estimating to aid in orders and margins.
• Coordinate with Sales/Estimating on new projects and scope.
• Oversee product designs to meet project specs and delivery requirements.
• Identify ways to reduce labour and cost while maintaining quality.
• Maintain and update standard Product library and Drawing/Document Control.

About the client (AU)

Established in 1988, the client has grown to become one of Australia's leading companies within the high security fencing market for commercial and industrial fencing/gates.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in all Engineering team functions including, but not limited to, detailed assessments of project information and Engineering, Design and Drafting for customer approval, communication, manufacturing and as-builts.
• Assist in managing systems for Project and Engineering data storage and coordination ensuring only latest information is used.
• Assist in the development of accurate bills of material and factory labour hours to produce products. Ensure that bills of material are continually updated with accurate material costs.
• Provide Drafting support to Sales and Estimating to assist with winning sales orders and setting of order cost base and gross margin targets.
• Coordinate and obtain comprehensive briefing from sales and estimating in relation to all new projects / sales orders to understand scope, specification and project delivery requirements.
• Oversee and develop product designs to suit project / sales order specifications. Prioritise and finalise design work in a timely manner to ensure the manufacturing and supply of products to meet project / sales order delivery requirements.
• Ensure project designs identify overall quantities, quality requirements and tolerances.
• Assist in identifying new methods of manufacturing and new designs of existing products to lower labour content and overall product cost while maintaining fitness for purpose and product quality.
• Assist in Managing standard Product library including revisions and updates of Drawings and Document Control Provide detailed drawings for all aspect of Projects, including but not limited to, Design/Concept Drawings, Manufacturing/Shop Drawings, Installation/Setout Drawings and As-Built/O&M Manual Drawings

Work Schedule (Dayshift)

• Monday to Friday (7AM-4PM; Manila Time)

Work Setup (WFH)

• Permanent Homebased
• Candidate's are expected to have a conducive (quiet, distraction-free) dedicated workspace
• Equipment will be provided by the company
• Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed.
