Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Goldilocks Bakeshop Inc. is seeking a professional for a role combining business analysis with hands-on PHP/Laravel development.
You will work closely with plant and corporate stakeholders to extract real requirements and translate them into functional specs, while also building and supporting web-based applications using PHP/Laravel and PostgreSQL. You will collaborate across departments to refine needs, design data and process flows, and manage end-to-end delivery from intake through UAT.
This role is primarily Business Analysis: sitting with plant and corporate stakeholders, extracting real requirements from business asks, and translating them into functional specifications and system designs. Development work — PHP/Laravel and PostgreSQL — is a secondary but hands-on responsibility: you will expected to build web-based applications using PHP/Laravel and PostgreSQL.
You’ll be expected to ask the right questions, push back on vague or ambiguous asks, and translate operational reality (short shelf-life food manufacturing and retail stores/restaurants, multi-plant, mixed SAP/non-SAP landscape) into working software.
Lead requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders across departments and business units (production, inventory, sales, finance).
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and process/data flow documentation.
Identify gaps between what stakeholders ask for and what the system landscape can actually support and propose realistic alternatives.
Manage your own requirements-to-delivery workstream end-to-end: intake, prioritization, design, build coordination, UAT, sign-off.
Write production-quality PHP code for the defined business requirements, ensuring the build matches design intent.
Contribute to schema design decisions for new modules or extensions.
Support existing web-based applications.
Experience in this domain is not reuired but will be an advantage.
Build or extend Power Apps canvas apps and Power Automate flows.
Work within SharePoint-backed data structures used by the existing Power Platform stack.
Maintain technical and functional documentation.
Communicate progress and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
The candidate should be able to effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders and key business users.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
A minimum of 3 years hands-on PHP development and a minimum of 2 years performing business analysis activities (requirements gathering, functional specification, stakeholder translation) - these can be concurrent (hybrid role) or accumulated across separate roles.
Proven experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders and converting them into specs, process flows, or system designs.
Proficient in PHP, preferably with the Laravel framework.
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design, queries)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable communicating with non-technical stakeholders at varying levels of the organization.
Version control experience (Git).
Willing to work in Mandaluyong City (Full Onsite)
Project management experience - for managing your own analysis-to-delivery lifecycle.
Power Apps / Power Automate development experience.
Prior exposure to SAP or any ERP system (MM, IM, PP, SD concepts) — you don't need to be a SAP consultant, but understanding why ERPs enforce the constraints they do is a major plus.
Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food industry environments.
REST API integration experience.
SharePoint as a data backend.
