Job summary

RCBC is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst/Business Analyst to join our banking technology team in Manila. You will collect and analyze user requirements, produce functional and system specifications, and assist in building, enhancing, and maintaining robust banking applications.

The role requires leadership in systems analysis, architecture design, and collaboration with developers to deliver secure, compliant solutions. Strong domain knowledge in Capital Markets or Financial Risk is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years in application development with at least 5 years as Systems Analyst or Business Analyst.
• Experience with Capital Markets, Financial Risk, and/or Assets & Liabilities Management preferred.
• Expert knowledge of systems analysis and design, including bank-specific software development methodologies.
• Strong skills in project management and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems analysis, architecture design, and feasibility studies for large-scale applications and core business domain platforms.
• Translate business requirements into technical and functional specifications, providing technical guidance to internal and external developers.
• Proactively identify system enhancements, optimize performance, and conduct capacity planning for supported applications.
• Formulate test plans, define edge cases, and execute QA testing to ensure system accuracy, reliability, and security.
• Oversee application installation and release reviews, ensuring compliance with banking standards and local regulations (BSP/MORB) and MTPP/MLPP policies.
• Maintain updated system and operations documentation in accordance with corporate standards.
• Provide post-implementation production support, resolve incidents, and deliver training to IT personnel and end-users.
• Deliver regular progress reports, estimations, and project updates to Project Managers.

What will make you successful?

• Experience: 8+ years in application development (preferably within banking/financial services), with at least 5 years as a Systems Analyst or Business Analyst. Preferrably, a candidate with experience with Capital Markets, Financial Risk, and/or Assets & Liabilities Management.
• Technical & Domain Expertise: Expert knowledge of systems analysis and design, including advanced proficiency in bank-specific software development methodologies.
• Management & Governance: Strong skills in project management and vendor management.
