Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Team Leader to support the Section Leader and Director of Operations in driving wellbeing, workload balance and performance within the Energy & Power unit.

You will allocate tasks, coach staff, and help recruit and onboard new team members. The role includes 20–25% of daily responsibilities focused on leadership and culture initiatives, with hybrid working options and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Proven experience in the power generation industry—thermal, renewable, or combined-cycle preferred.
• Previous leadership or team management experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, industry codes, and project management practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Business awareness and interest in contributing to commercial, client, and resourcing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care, supporting team wellbeing, engagement, and day-to-day guidance.
• Assist with resource planning and facilitate workload balancing across the team.
• Support the Section Leader and Director of Operations with communication, team focus, and reinforcing strategic priorities.
• Review weekly timesheets and ensure accurate, timely submissions.
• Conduct or support e3 career and performance conversations with team members.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and career support for junior and mid-level staff.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
• Advocate for and help bring to life Jacobs’ Culture of Caring, Inclusion & Diversity, and strategic initiatives such as Focus 20/100.
