Job summary

DHL Express (Philippines) Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead inbound and outbound operations at the Davao Regional Distribution Center. You will supervise receiving, packing, dispatch, and cycle counts while driving safety, quality, and on-time fulfillment.

You will coach and develop warehouse associates, conduct daily briefings, and monitor performance metrics to meet service levels. On-site work with shifting schedules and weekend coverage is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience with inbound and outbound processes in a distribution center preferred.

Responsibilities

Inbound Operations

• Supervise receiving, unloading, checking, and put-away activities to ensure inventory accuracy and timely processing.
• Ensure compliance with inbound schedules and customer service requirements.
• Monitor receiving discrepancies, damaged goods, and inventory variances, ensuring timely resolution.
• Coordinate with Inventory and Customer Service teams regarding inventory and system-related concerns.
• Ensure proper storage and adherence to warehouse standards.

Outbound Operations

• Supervise order picking, packing, staging, and dispatch activities.
• Ensure all customer orders are processed accurately and shipped within agreed service levels.
• Monitor daily dispatch plans and coordinate with transport providers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Address operational issues that may impact fulfillment performance and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure outbound documentation and system transactions are completed accurately and on time.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse associates to achieve operational objectives.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings, shift briefings, and performance reviews.
• Monitor productivity, attendance, discipline, and overall team performance.
• Allocate manpower and resources effectively based on operational workload.
• Promote employee engagement and teamwork within the operation.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and service level compliance.
• Drive process improvements and support Lean, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and customer requirements.
• Support inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock audits as required.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with DHL Safety, Health, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) standards.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and promote safe work practices.
• Immediately report and investigate operational incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Ensure proper use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and adherence to operational safety procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• At least 3-5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience handling inbound and outbound processes in a distribution center environment is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Other Requirements

• Willing to be assigned and work on-site in Davao Regional Distribution Center.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Physically capable of supporting warehouse floor operations and conducting operational inspections.
