Private Advertiser in Quezon City seeks a Team Lead – Settlement Accounting to oversee daily settlement activities, reconcile payments, and drive financial reporting. You will manage a team, enforce controls, and optimize processes within a high-volume enterprise payments environment.

The role requires a CPA-advantage education, 4+ years in accounting, 1+ year of leadership, and strong Excel plus ERP experience (Oracle/SAP). On-site shift from 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM PH time.

• Evaluate workflows; partner with IT/Finance to implement automated reconciliation tools and control enhancements.
• Serve as escalation point for banking partners, treasury, risk, and finance leadership.

About the role

We are seeking an analytical and proactive Team Lead – Settlement Accounting to oversee daily settlement accounting, payment reconciliation, financial reporting, and compliance workflows. In this supervisory role, you will manage a team of accounting professionals, enforce internal financial controls, manage audit requirements, and drive continuous process improvements within an enterprise payment operations environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily settlement accounting, high-volume payment reconciliations, ledger posting, and exception resolution across multi-currency transaction streams

• Direct, coach, and evaluate a team of settlement accountants; drive operational performance, set daily SLAs, and foster professional development

• Lead internal and external audit preparation, ensure strict adherence to financial controls (SOX/regulatory standards), and maintain audit-ready documentation

• Evaluate settlement workflows, identify operational inefficiencies, and partner with IT/Finance teams to implement automated reconciliation tools and control enhancements

• Act as the primary escalation point for banking partners, treasury, risk management, and finance leadership to resolve complex settlement discrepancies

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline (CPA certification is an advantage)

• Minimum 4+ years of total accounting experience specializing in financial reporting, reconciliation, audit, or related finance functions

• At least 1 year of direct leadership or supervisory experience managing accounting or finance professionals

• Proven background in payment processing, merchant settlements, banking reconciliations, or financial services operations

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, macros, large dataset reconciliation) and hands‑on experience with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)

• Must be willing and strictly able to work the 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM PH Time shift on‑site at Vertis North, Quezon City
