Job summary

Avensys Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a Team Lead, Settlement Accounting to guide a dedicated team in settlement accounting, financial reporting, and control improvements. You will partner with Treasury, Operations, and Technology to drive process enhancements and risk management in a dynamic financial services setting.

You will oversee reconciliations, month-end close, and variance analysis while mentoring staff to achieve accuracy and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• 4+ years in accounting, with financial reporting and reconciliations experience.
• At least 1 year in team leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.

Responsibilities

Ready to take the next step in your accounting career? We’re looking for a Team Lead, Settlement Accounting to lead a team of accounting professionals, strengthen financial controls, and drive operational excellence in a dynamic financial services environment.

This role offers the opportunity to combine accounting expertise, people leadership, and process transformation while working with cross-functional teams to improve financial accuracy, manage risk, and build scalable accounting operations.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily settlement accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and financial variance analysis.
• Investigate complex reconciliation breaks and financial discrepancies, driving root-cause analysis and sustainable resolutions.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Settlement Accountants.
• Strengthen financial controls and support compliance with GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and internal policies.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and system enhancement initiatives.
• Partner with Treasury, Operations, Business Accounting, and Technology teams to improve processes and mitigate financial risk.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Accounting.
• 4+ years of accounting experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, audit, or related functions.
• At least 1 year of team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

Experience in settlement accounting, payments, banking, or FinTech; Oracle or other ERP systems; reconciliation tools; and process automation or system implementation projects.

Work Schedule

• Early shift: 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM Philippine Time.
• Must be willing to work on Philippine public holidays when required. Compensatory time off (CTO) applies under the applicable arrangement.
