Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Finance Leader to head the accounting team, overseeing reconciliations, ledgers, and month-end close with strong controls and cross-functional partnership.

You will mentor staff, drive process improvements, and deliver high-quality financials that support business decisions in a hybrid Manila office.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification is a MUST.
• Experience leading a high-performing accounting team.
• Experience influencing stakeholders in challenging situations.
• Involvement in implementing a new accounting system or evolving an existing one.
• Ability to manage complex issues across diverse scope with strong analytical judgment.
• Frequent interaction with stakeholders and teams; proficient ERP skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Record-to-Report activities and lead month-end close.
• Manage a team to ensure timely, accurate accounting deliverables.
• Prepare and review financial documents and analyses; resolve variances.
• Collaborate with Accounting for planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Support accounting records and financial reporting per standards.
• Assist with annual audit preparations; address issues promptly.

• Experience influencing stakeholders through challenging situations
• Previous involvement in the implementation of a new accounting system or management and evolution of an existing system
• Ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members
• Strong system skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning software (ERP)
• Working knowledge of Oracle or a similar sized ERP system
• Advanced Excel skills

What You’ll Do

• Record-2-Report activities
• Managing a team ensuring accounting services deliverables are met in a timely and accurate manner
• Preparation and review of financial documents, reports and information including conducting any analyses’ and resolving any variances
• Collaborating with the Accounting team in financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities
• Supporting the preparation of accounting records and financial reports as per Datacom standards
• Performing month‑end close activities. Generating and maintaining general ledgers and any adjustments
• Assisting with annual audit preparations
• Ensuring all accounting tasks are completed within the set timeframe and any issues addressed as they arise
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non‑compliance
