We are looking for a Tax Unit Supervisor to oversee tax compliance, tax planning, tax advisory activities, and regulatory reporting. This role will supervise the processing of BIR Form No. 2307, provide guidance to Tax Analysts, and support the Tax Manager in developing tax strategies that align with business objectives.
Conduct tax research and analysis on complex tax matters.
Interpret tax laws and regulations and provide recommendations on their business impact.
Assist in developing and implementing tax-efficient strategies.
Prepare technical tax memoranda, planning documents, and tax recommendations.
Support business units by addressing tax-related concerns and inquiries.
Ensure compliance with Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and reportorial requirements.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the organization.
Review documentation and schedules required for tax audits and regulatory examinations.
Supervise the preparation and distribution of BIR Form No. 2307 to vendors.
Lead, coach, and develop Tax Analysts to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Monitor team productivity, performance, and deliverables.
Maintain records related to attendance, performance, and operational metrics.
Provide regular updates on tax developments, team accomplishments, and operational challenges.
Collaborate closely with the Tax Manager to implement process improvements and strategic initiatives.
Support the achievement of departmental and organizational goals through effective tax management and compliance practices.
Graduate of Accountancy or any business-related course.
Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting.
Experience in tax planning, tax advisory, and regulatory reporting is an advantage.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations.
Excellent tax research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, coaching, and people management abilities.
Ability to interpret tax laws and provide practical business recommendations.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of accounting systems is an advantage.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
