VIVANT CORPORATION is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance, advisory, and planning. You will ensure adherence to Philippine tax laws, coordinate with BIR and LGUs, and drive improvements in tax processes.
You will lead a team of tax professionals, provide technical guidance on transactions, and manage audits and investigations while partnering with Accounting to resolve tax issues efficiently.
JOB SUMMARY
The Tax Manager oversees tax compliance, advisory, planning, and regulatory requirements to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations. The role provides tax expertise to internal stakeholders, manages tax audits and investigations, identifies opportunities to minimize tax exposure and leakage, and drives continuous improvement in tax processes and practices.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee timely and accurate tax returns, reports, registrations, and other regulatory compliance requirements with the BIR, LGUs, and other relevant authorities.
Provide tax advisory and technical guidance on business transactions, including acquisitions, asset purchases, and other tax-related matters.
Lead BIR investigations, tax audits, assessments, and related regulatory engagements.
Conduct internal tax assessments and recommend strategies to enhance compliance, minimize tax exposure, and reduce tax leakage.
Monitor tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization and its transactions.
Assist in tax planning, annual tax budgeting, and development of tax strategies and recommendations.
Develop and improve tax policies, processes, controls, and best practices to strengthen tax compliance and efficiency.
Prepare or review position papers, tax analyses, and other technical documents on tax issues and audit matters.
Lead or assist in tax-related projects and initiatives.
Collaborate with Accounting and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance and resolution of tax concerns.
Lead, coach, and develop the Tax team while promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
At least 4 years of relevant experience in tax, preferably in a Tax Manager or similar managerial role.
Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and LGU requirements.
Experience in tax compliance, tax planning, advisory, and BIR audits/investigations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting/tax systems.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
