Private Advertiser in the Philippines is seeking a Tax Manager to lead our tax function within the Finance team. You will oversee compliance, reporting, and planning, ensuring alignment with Philippine tax laws and regulations while coordinating with auditors, advisors, and government agencies.
The ideal candidate has a CPA, 5–8 years tax experience, supervisory experience, strong knowledge of BIR rules, and proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our Finance team. The role will be responsible for overseeing the company's tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax-related requirements, while ensuring adherence to applicable Philippine tax laws and regulations.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax advisors, and government agencies on tax matters and provide guidance on tax-related issues that may impact the business.
Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of tax returns, reports, and other statutory requirements.
Ensure compliance with applicable Philippine tax laws, rules, and regulations.
Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely submission of tax filings and payments.
Review tax computations, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
Provide guidance to Finance and other business units on tax-related matters and transactions.
Manage and coordinate tax audits, assessments, and inquiries with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and other relevant government agencies.
Review tax implications of business transactions, contracts, and proposed activities.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their potential impact on the company.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other professional advisors as needed.
Identify potential tax risks and recommend appropriate actions to ensure compliance and minimize exposure.
Support tax planning initiatives and recommend opportunities for tax efficiency within applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate and complete tax records and documentation.
Provide tax-related reports, analysis, and recommendations to Finance management.
Perform other finance and tax-related duties that may be assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
CPA license is preferred.
At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in taxation, preferably with supervisory or managerial experience.
Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and BIR regulations.
Experience in handling BIR tax audits, assessments, and compliance requirements.
Strong understanding of tax accounting, tax reporting, and statutory compliance.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience in real estate, property development, construction, or other large organizations is an advantage.
