Job summary

Cloudstaff Philippines Inc. is seeking a detail‑driven Tax Associate to prepare U.S. individual tax returns and related schedules from client documents in Cebu City. The role emphasizes accuracy, deadlines, and collaboration with a U.S. reviewer.

You will use Lacerte and other accounting tools, review files for completeness, and help with tax consulting as needed. Strong English communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance or related field.
• Hands-on U.S. individual tax prep (1040) experience.
• Enrolled Agent or progress toward EA is a plus.

What you will do:

• Prepare individual tax returns and related schedules from client source documents
• Review files for completeness and follow up on missing information
• Apply review notes and keep workpapers clean enough for a U.S. reviewer
• Communicate status, questions, and deadlines with the internal team
• Support tax consulting alongside resolution cases when needed

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field

EXPERIENCE:

• Hands-on U.S. individual tax prep (1040). Business returns are a plus
• Comfortable in a tax software environment (Lacerte is used on their U.S. side)
• Strong English, written and spoken
• Organized, deadline-driven, and used to a review process
• Enrolled Agent or progress toward EA is a plus, not the main requirement on this seat

SOFTWARE:

• Extensive experience with accounting software such as Lacerte, Xero, Xero Tax, XPM, MYOB, and QuickBooks
