Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years of accounting and tax experience.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to review information, identify issues, and help resolve them.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in completing or reviewing work.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a team, manage a variety of tax and accounting assignments, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Progress toward a CPA license or a stated intent to pursue the CPA or another relevant certification.
• Internship or prior experience in public accounting or tax is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts and its related income tax work papers
• Support preparation of extensions, quarterly estimates, and tax projections
• Assist with reconciliation of book-to-tax differences, including Schedules M-1, M-2, and M-3
• Conduct tax research using RIA, BNA, IRS guidance, and other authoritative resources
• Prepare write-up work for closely held businesses and family office clients, including reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger cleanup, and tax-ready workpapers
• Identify and follow up on open items, communicate issues, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
• Accurately track time daily and manage assigned client work in alignment with engagement budgets
• Perform self-review of work
• Learn and effectively utilize firm tax software to continually learn, and share knowledge
• Work closely with a team and communicate job status with all levels of the engagement team
• Complete assigned projects within engagement timeline and budget guidelines
