Job summary

Private Advertiser, a holding entity in Mandaue City, Cebu, is seeking a Senior Accountant – Tax. The role reports to the Tax Director and will manage day-to-day tax compliance while supporting Accounting and Finance functions. This position offers hybrid work and a comprehensive benefits package.

The successful candidate holds a CPA, with 1–2 years in tax/accounting, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of Philippine tax laws. Experience with BIR exams and audits is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CPA is required.
• 1–2 years of tax and/or accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation (income tax, VAT, withholding, local taxes).
• Experience in tax compliance, reconciliations, schedules, and audits.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Big 4 or similar public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle accurate and timely preparation and filing of tax returns and other statutory requirements.
• Maintain tax records, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documents.
• Support accounting and financial reporting, including journal entries and month-end/year-end closing.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Finance, and other departments on tax and financial requirements.
• Assist in BIR examinations, tax assessments, and audits.
• Liaise with the BIR, LGUs, and other government agencies.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and support improvements in tax processes and controls.
• Handle ad hoc tax, accounting, finance, and compliance projects.
