Job summary

FILIPINAS MULTI-LINE CORP. is seeking a software developer in the Philippines with a BS in CS or IT and at least one year of hands-on programming experience. Knowledge of Laravel Framework is required, and experience in mobile development is a plus.

The role covers systems development, maintenance, and integration of existing systems with third-party software, along with creating and documenting new software and processes.

Responsibilities

• Systems Development and Programming: Design, develop, test, and implement software applications and tools to support business operations.
• Create and maintain custom programs, scripts, and automation processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop system modules and enhancements based on approved functional requirements.
• Integrate existing systems with third-party software or APIs as required by the business.
• Review current systems and software for upgrades and enhancements.
• Create new software including web-based and desktop applications.
• Create detailed work and system flow diagrams for developed software.
• Prepare mock-up designs and present system proposals to beneficiaries for scope approval.
• Conduct system and software demonstrations to the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Systems Development and Programming

  • Design, develop, test, and implement software applications and tools to support business operations.

  • Create and maintain custom programs, scripts, and automation processes to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Develop system modules and enhancements based on approved functional requirements.

  • Integrate existing systems with third-party software or APIs as required by the business.

  • Responsible in reviewing the current systems and softwares being used by the company for possible upgrades and enhancements.

  • Creation of new software but not limited to web-based and desktop based application.

  • Creation of detailed work and system flow of the software being developed.

  • Creation and presentation of mock‑up design of the system to be developed to the intended beneficiaries as a basis on the approval of scope of work.

  • Conduct presentation/s of the system and softwares being developed to the department concerned.

• System Maintenance and Support

  • Monitor and troubleshoot existing in-house applications, databases, and system processes.

  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and optimization for better system performance.

  • Maintain proper documentation of program codes, workflows, and change logs for reference and compliance.

  • Provide technical support to end-users regarding system usage, errors, and data issues.

• Database Management

  • Design, manage, and optimize database structures used by company systems.

  • Perform regular data backups, restorations, and database security checks.

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of stored data.

• Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work closely with other departments to gather and analyze user requirements.

  • Coordinate with external software vendors or consultants for system‑related projects.

  • Provide regular updates to the IT Head/Manager on project progress and technical challenges.

• System Security and Compliance

  • Implement security measures in all developed applications to safeguard company data.

  • Ensure developed systems comply with company IT policies and relevant data protection regulations.

• Continuous Improvement

  • Identify areas in existing systems and processes that can be automated or optimized.

  • Research and recommend new programming tools, frameworks, or best practices to improve system reliability and user experience.
