Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, MIS, or related field.
At least 3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer or similar role.
Strong knowledge in PHP, Laravel 9 or higher, JavaScript, ASP.NET, and MVC frameworks.
Experience in full-stack development and REST API design.
Familiarity with Git, Gitflow, and Bitbucket.
Understanding of CI/CD processes and software testing.
Ability to design SQL schemas and optimize queries (MySQL).
Knowledge of SOLID principles and OOP.

Responsibilities

Interpret detailed functional specifications and translate them into software applications.
Design, develop, and implement new software applications and enhancements.
Develop and maintain full-stack applications using PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, and MVC frameworks.
Ensure applications are usable, reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Design and optimize SQL database schemas and queries.
Apply OOP and SOLID principles in software development.
Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and system integrations.
Conduct software testing and evaluate applications prior to deployment.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve programming issues and defects.
Document programming problems, resolutions, and technical processes for future reference.
Maintain clear and updated programming documentation.
Use Git and follow Gitflow workflows and repository management practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders and development team throughout the lifecycle.
Support the CI/CD process and deployment readiness.
Monitor and optimize application and database performance (MySQL).

The Software Developer is responsible for the development, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of new and existing software applications and business projects. The role translates functional specifications into reliable, scalable, secure, and user-friendly software solutions while ensuring proper documentation, testing, and deployment.

The position requires strong full-stack development capabilities, particularly in PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, SQL, and MVC frameworks, as well as experience with software development practices, version control, and CI/CD processes.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret detailed functional specifications and translate them into software applications that meet defined business and technical requirements.
Design, develop, and implement new software applications and enhancements to existing systems.
Develop and maintain full-stack applications using PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, and MVC frameworks.
Ensure applications are usable, reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Design and optimize SQL database schemas and queries to support application performance and scalability.
Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles in software development.
Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and system integrations.
Conduct software testing and evaluate applications prior to deployment.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve programming issues and application defects.
Document programming problems, resolutions, technical processes, and system developments for future reference.
Maintain clear and updated programming and technical documentation.
Use version control systems such as Git and follow established Gitflow workflows and repository management practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.
At least 3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer or similar role.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in:
- PHP
- Laravel 9 or higher
- JavaScript
- ASP.NET
- MVC frameworks
Strong experience in full-stack development.
Hands-on experience with:
- SQL schema design
- SOLID principles
- REST API design
- Software testing
- MySQL profiling and query optimization
Working knowledge of Git, including Gitflow workflow.
Experience with repository management tools such as Bitbucket.
Understanding of the overall CI/CD process.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Creative, efficient, and results-oriented approach to solving technical problems.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience with modern frontend JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or React.js.
Experience with bridging tools such as Inertia.js or Laravel Livewire.
Experience in server administration and application deployment.
Experience hosting PHP/Laravel applications using IIS (Internet Information Services) or Apache.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
