Job summary

RELX in the Philippines is seeking a Systems Engineer III to ensure users work efficiently by delivering first-class IT services. You will implement and support enterprise technology solutions, manage complex deployments, administer systems, monitor performance, and document processes.

The role involves on-call rotations, collaboration with global teams, and interaction with senior stakeholders to drive infrastructure projects and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder in a related field.
• 5+ years' experience in systems/infrastructure engineering.
• Experience administering enterprise identity platforms and public cloud at scale.
• Experience with 24/7 business-critical environments and on-call rotations.
• Experience escalating issues and mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience with globally distributed teams and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Participate in on-call rotation for OCC/NOC escalations and after-hours support.

• Travel and after-hours work may be required based on timelines.

This includes complex system deployments, upgrades, daily administration, monitoring, and system documentation.

Accountabilities

• Assist Enterprise Engineering Leads with the execution and successful delivery of the EUC roadmap.
• Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues and provide 3rd line support to internal squads.
• Share knowledge and foster team development by hosting lunch-and-learn sessions, mentoring peers, and driving a shift-left culture within the team.
• Deliver business-critical support to internal customers, ensuring SLA adherence and exceptional service.
• Collaborate closely with squad leads and engineering leads to deliver key infrastructure projects.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, supporting OCC/NOC escalations and providing after-hours support as needed.
• Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders, providing updates and input on technical initiatives.
• Occasional travel and off-hours work may be required based on project timelines and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder
• 5+ years' experience in systems/infrastructure engineering,
• Demonstrated experience administering enterprise identity platforms (Entra ID/Active Directory) and public cloud (AWS and/or Azure) at scale.
• Experience supporting business critical, 24/7 environments, including on-call/escalation rotations.
• Experience acting as a point of technical escalation and/or mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
