Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Systems Analyst in banking/financial services.
• Solid understanding of banking systems, operations and financial products.
• Proven experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of banking compliance and regulatory requirements (BSP, ISO, information security).
• Proficiency with systems analysis tools such as UML, Visio, and BPMN.

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst with a banking background to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, particularly within the financial services sector. As a Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing complex banking systems, identifying improvement opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that enhance operational efficiency and security. Your expertise in banking systems combined with your analytical skills will be instrumental in driving digital transformation initiatives within our client base.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse complex banking systems and processes to identify inefficiencies, security vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement

• Gather and document detailed business requirements from banking stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications

• Collaborate with software developers, infrastructure teams, and business units to design and implement systems solutions tailored to banking operations

• Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for proposed system enhancements and digital transformation projects

• Develop system documentation, including process flows, data models, and technical specifications

• Test and validate system implementations to ensure they meet banking compliance standards and client requirements

• Provide ongoing support and recommendations for system optimisation and maintenance

• Participate in project planning and estimation activities for banking technology initiatives

• Maintain awareness of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to the financial services sector

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a Systems Analyst, with substantial experience in the banking or financial services sector

• Strong understanding of banking systems, operations, and financial products (loans, deposits, payments, treasury systems, etc.)

• Proven expertise in systems analysis methodologies, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and data analysis

• Knowledge of banking compliance and regulatory requirements (BSP regulations, ISO standards, information security frameworks)

• Proficiency with systems analysis tools and software (e.g., UML, visio, business process modelling tools)

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail when working with complex technical and business requirements

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience with project management methodologies and agile development environments

• Familiarity with banking technology platforms and integration solutions

• Relevant certifications (e.g., IIBA, CBAP, or equivalent) are highly desirable

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field is preferred
