Job summary

ABS-CBN Corporation is seeking a System Specialist to monitor applications and automate workflows across MAMS, Transcoders, and Subtitling solutions. You will provide 2nd level support, configure delivery pipelines, and prepare monthly performance reports while ensuring secure file handling and system connectivity.

The role requires expertise in digital media, IT hardware and networks, and scripting with PowerShell/Linus CLI, plus CI/CD experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics & Communications, Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
• At least 2 years related working experience preferred.
• Expert in MAMS, broadcast, digital media and online delivery.
• Proficient in IT software applications, systems analysis and design.
• Proficient in IT hardware & network systems.
• Proficient in Git.
• Ability to generate process workflows, project reports, minutes and status reports.
• Expert in computer operations (spreadsheets, word processing and databases).
• Advanced flowcharting and MS Office.
• Proficient in Windows PowerShell and Linux command line functions.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows.
• Basic HTML / Python / Ruby programming.
• Flexible with minimum supervision; good written and oral communication; able to work under pressure; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations of applications and systems; provide 2nd level support for identified systems (MAMS, Transcoders, Subtitling Solution).
• Administrate and secure downloading, transcoding, and delivery of digital materials to platforms.
• Configure workflows, migration rules, and file format specs for clients.
• Prepare monthly reports on digital media conversion, transcoding and delivery requests.
• Manage media storage allocation and monitor content delivery/transactions.
• Administer user access rights for all systems.
• Ensure connectivity of systems in Tapeless environment (POST, TOC, BQM, Digital Platform).
• Assist research on latest digital/media tech trends and reporting tools.
• Document policies/workflows before implementation; monitor system performance and propose improvements.
• Develop training guidelines and share expertise with staff.

Job description

The System Specialist is responsible for the daily monitoring of all applications, systems automation and integration of the company’s identified system/s such as MAMS, Transcoders, Subtitling Solution to ensure that services and requirements of the clients are met. Also assist on application development, workflow documentation and procedures for Company’s identified system/s.

• Handles overall functionality and provide 2nd level support of Company’s identified system/s such as MAMS, Transcoders, Subtitling Solution.
• Administers and secure downloading request, video standards conversion, transcoding, and uploading / delivery of digital materials to various repurposing platforms.
• Configure workflow, migration rules, and file format specifications required by clients.
• Prepares monthly summary report of digital media conversion, transcode and delivery requests & ensures that all approved requests are credited to the company
• Prepares technical records, administer client’s media storage allocation/capacity and monitors media content delivery / transaction of the Company.
• Administers, validates and monitors user profile & access rights of all users of Company’s identified system/s such as MAMS, Transcoders, Subtitling Solution, etc.
• Ensures MAMS and/or other Company’s identified system/s connectivity on Tapeless environment (POST, TOC, BQM, Digital Platform)
• Assist in research for the latest changes and innovations within the digital / online platform landscape, media technology advancements and business reporting tool.
• Prepares, analyzes and reviews policies, procedures & workflows in accordance with the defined goals, objectives, and work standards of the company prior to its implementation
• Monitors, analyzes and validates performance of all systems and suggests appropriate enhancements for the improvement of the company’s operations
• Formulates training guidelines, demonstrates and cascades skills & expertise to staff
• Handles inquiries related to Company’s identified system/s such as MAMS general processes and use of the other system applications
• Provides periodic summary reports on all system-related issues & concerns and recommended changes or action steps if applicable
• Ensures that all queries & assistance needed by the clients are met and customer feedbacks & complaints are monitored and addressed in order to continually improve the effectiveness of the company’s system & to meet the requirements of clients
• Complies with the corrective actions in order to eliminate causes of nonconformities encountered to prevent its recurrence
• Assists in the formulation of preventive actions to eliminate the causes of potential nonconformities in order to prevent their occurrence
• Performs any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of BS Industrial Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Computer Engineering or Computer Science graduate preferred
• At least 2 years related working experience preferred
