Responsibilities

• Oversee breeding and gestation units to meet production targets.
• Monitor heat detection, artificial insemination, boar semen processing and gestation SOPs.
• Maintain breeders' profiles and swine records in field and software.
• Supervise health and welfare of pregnant sows and nutrition during gestation.
• Ensure biosecurity, sanitation, and clean, well-maintained facilities.
• Prepare breeding and farrowing projections and budgets within limits.
• Coordinate with swine sales on hog classification and volume available.
• Train and supervise staff in breeding and gestation operations.
• Foster teamwork and continuous improvement across farm operations.
