Job summary

Aboitiz Foods is seeking a Farm Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the swine unit. The role focuses on productivity, animal welfare, and adherence to biosecurity standards while supervising staff and coordinating with the Farm Manager to ensure efficient farm operations.

The successful candidate will manage breeding and gestation activities, monitor animal health, maintain records, and drive continuous improvement across the unit within a high-standard farming environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Animal Science, Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Medicine.
• Preferably 3 years work experience in a 500-sow level swine operation, preferably as a farm supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the swine unit and ensure the health and welfare of the herd.
• Supervise farm staff and ensure implementation of management practices.
• Maintain high standards of animal husbandry, biosecurity and welfare.
• Maintain detailed breeding and gestation records and ensure data accuracy in the management software.
• Monitor barn conditions (temp, humidity, ventilation) and ensure facilities are clean and well-maintained.
• Assist Farm Manager in budgeting, planning and improving workflows.
