Job summary

Aboitiz Foods is seeking a Breeder Farm Senior Supervisor to assist the Farm Manager in directing breeder and nursery operations, achieving targeted production efficiency and cost of production. You will oversee swine production, implement process improvements, and ensure data accuracy and bio-security.

The role requires at least five years of supervisory experience on large swine farms, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate of veterinary or agricultural programs as listed.
At least five years supervisory experience on a 2,000 sow or larger swine farm.
Thorough knowledge of all phases of swine production and farm operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication; strong leadership and data handling skills.

Responsibilities

Assist Farm Manager to supervise breeder and nursery farms to meet production targets.
Manage swine production process, oversee farm operations and inventory controls.
Recommend process improvements and ensure data processing and reporting accuracy.
Ensure bio-security and health, safety, and Halal/quality compliance as required.
Develop and monitor budgets; oversee third-party manpower performance as needed.
Participate in committees and support expansion/improvement projects.

Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Breeder Farm Senior Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Farm Manager in supervising, directing and managing the operation of the breeder and nursery farms to achieve the targeted production efficiency and cost of production.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Farm Operations

Assist the Farm Manager to manage and oversee the swine production process and farm operations in order to achieve the targeted production performance.
Recommends and implements enhancements to existing processes and activities.
Help ensure appropriate Inventory management system is in place, correct inventory level is maintained and variances are within acceptable threshold.
Help ensure the appropriate data processing system is in place and accuracy of recorded data, information and reports generated is maintained.
Collaborates with other concerned teams to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the farm facilities.
Ensures that appropriate bio-security protocol is in place, implemented and complied and collaborates with concerned teams for the implementation of physical security.
Monitors, evaluates and provides feedback on the performance of the third-party manpower provider to ensure it's within agreed service level commitment.
Prepares a sound budget proposal and implements approved budget, ensuring proper cost management.

Community Relations

Responds to farm-related community concerns by recommending and executing appropriate actions to address the concern.

People Development

Supervises, monitors and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
Builds IDP and provides intervention for the development and growth of direct reports

Other Tasks

Appointed membership to committees whenever necessary.
Manages the expansion projects and improvements of the farm as may be assigned.
Performs other work-related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Food Safety

Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the Team Leader.
