Job summary

M. Rubia, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Surveyor / CAD Operator to support field surveying and the preparation of accurate technical drawings for our projects.

Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, layout and staking, verifying elevations, updating AutoCAD drawings, and translating field measurements into drawings. Travel to project sites and collaboration with engineers are required to ensure drawings reflect actual conditions.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to read and interpret engineering plans.
• Familiar with surveying equipment such as total stations, automatic levels, and GPS/GNSS instruments.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and teamwork.
• Willing to perform fieldwork and travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, measurements, and field data collection.
• Perform layout and staking, and verify elevations, dimensions, and site conditions against approved plans.
• Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings, including survey plans, layouts, and as-built drawings.
• Translate survey data and field measurements into accurate drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to resolve discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
• Maintain organized survey records, drawing files, and revisions.
• Follow site safety procedures and properly handle surveying equipment.
