Job summary

HireHawk Inc. seeks a Medical Administrative & Surgical Patient Coordinator to own post-enrollment administrative coordination through the pre-operative phase.

You will ensure clearances, testing, records, appointments, and documentation are completed to keep patients on track for surgery. This operations-focused healthcare role works with patients, medical offices, imaging centers, labs, hospitals, and other providers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in medical administration or surgical/patient coordination.
• Experience in a U.S. medical practice or healthcare environment is required.
• Direct experience coordinating pre-operative patients and related documentation.
• Experience using EMR, CRM or patient-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the pre-operative process from booking to readiness for surgery.
• Maintain up-to-date pre-operative checklists and identify missing clearances or tests.
• Coordinate required appointments, imaging, labs and clearances.
• Contact hospitals, imaging centers and clinics to obtain outstanding information.
• Follow up with external providers to avoid delays and advocate for patients.
• Guide patients through non-clinical pre-operative instructions and next steps.
• Document patient conversations and case status in the system.
• Communicate readiness and delays to the care team clearly.
• Escalate clinical questions to staff when necessary.
• Provide additional admin support to improve surgical workflow.
